We are creating a social media brand umbrellas:

What is that? a social media brand umbrella is the ability to surround your website or company with relevant social media profiles that are updated weekly. 300 social media profiles to be exact. Your building an army of profiles that will talk good about you. The key step is using online tools like the site http://ifttt.com/dashboard to automate you post.

When you post on one site that message goes out to all sites linked by ifttt. The way we maximize the use of this tool is by linking only 5 social profiles together with one message system and then creating another message system for another 5 social media profiles.

Now all messages must have links back to your site and to other social profiles. This technique creates a link wheel and increases all your social profiles relevancy and activity across the board.

Social Media First Impressions are Everything

What next: Gather users. We gather users using tools that will help us identify our target market. These social media tools help us send messages out from facebook, request subscribers from youtube and follow twitter followers that are in our industry so they can follow us. Before you do this you must make sure your social media campaigns look good. When someone is approached by a standard social profile the individual or company has no reason to follow you. First impressions our everything if you don’t look like an expert then your job becomes harder. People will start evaluating you more and more.

What can Olympic Synchronized swimming teach us about Social Media?

As a former YMCA coach for synchronized swimming I recalled how we had our students do a complete performance. A complete performance means that we need to think about the look of the program and the fell from the vary moment the audience sees them. So imagine the costumes the music the land movements and then the water movements. Everything being flowed from one source to the next. Same in social media.
Integrated marketing is when you combine offline marketing practices (print ads, word of mouth, brochures, call cards, conventions, etc.) with your digital or internet marketing (search, social, video, and mobile).
Here are 2 ways you can get a Perfect 10 from the judges, in this case, the consumers or your target market:
1. Practice consistency and uniformity.

Every stroke, every step, every turn of the head should be consistent. This means all your marketing efforts both online and offline should relay the same message and contain the same information.

2. Develop a killer choreography.
Do your marketing channels supplement and complement each other? They need not be alike but there should be choreography for it to make sense to your target market.
Nowadays, most of us can’t help but get busy on the online world – the hi-tech stuff – that we forget there’s also potential in the real, low-tech world too when raking in customers.
Are you pairing up online and offline marketing efforts?

I have kept taps on the social media campaign of President Obama. When his campaign for the presidency started his staff unveiled the new sight full of social media campaigns. It was the best collaboration of its kind. With in months you started to see his number sky rocket. Viral campaigns on facebook, twitter and youtube simultaneously started happening and his donor count climbed like a monkey in heat.

Now here is the latest from the huffington post on the new social campaign that will rock the political world and others.

In late May, the Obama campaign unveiled its latest innovation in the usage of social media: The Dashboard. The rollout was impressive and the tool itself was well-received. It is more proof, as if any more is needed, that Barack Obama is a master of the deployment of social media in political campaigns.

When I was asked to explain the Dashboard to MSNBC’s Chris Jansing, I did so readily. I am normally a big fan of television as a medium to convey complex information quickly and powerfully; I am also no stranger to the pressures of on-air delivery. But I was a bit frustrated by the constraints of the venue, which may have limited what I could have said — and more importantly, what I should have said — about the campaign’s latest leap forward in the social media wars.

How does it work? It’s frightfully simple, really –as most ingenious things tend to be.
Let’s start at the beginning: registration. All campaign volunteers are required to register online by giving and address and a ZIP code. On the next screen, they are asked to log in with an Obama campaign account. (If a volunteer does not yet have an account, this is a chance to create one.)

Full story here

current social showdown.

Google changes there search algorithm every couple of months. The new changes are big and are effecting search results across the internet.

Panda release for instance looks for pages that are considered to be spam pages.
A spam pages is a page that has these types of conditions.

Duplicate text content over 40%: Google spider looks for text on your page that came from another website.

Thin text: These are websites that just have one or two lines of text and nothing else. Its obvious to google that you are just trying to rank for a keywords.

Little Rich media: Rich media are Jpgs, Movies, Graphs, Infographics and other multimedia sources. If a page is just text with no images googles algorithm

Keyword spamming or cloaking: Hiding keywords using CSS and other hiding techniques.

So what can you do?

Do it right produce pages and website that have rich text and rich media on it.
Do not over optimized.

Google will rank anything if it has authority:
Authority = 90% links + 10% Traffic, Social, Usage, Etc.

Check your site by using Googles master tools:

Why is facebook the leader in social media.

Here is a look at the new figures that facebook posted during there S-1 form filing with the Securities and Exchange

Highlighted Facebook social figures:

Facebook says it has 901 million active users. Based on a rounded world population of 6.8 billion people, this breaks down to about 1.3 Facebook accounts for every 10 people on the planet.

Facebook says it serves 3.2 billion “likes” and comments daily.

Facebook says it hosts 300 million photo uploads every day.

There are 125 billion established friendships on the social network.

It was widely reported that Facebook would choose NASDAQ for its listing. This was confirmed in the amended filing, with Facebook proposing “FB” as its market symbol.

Additionally, the filing dove into the acquisition of Instagram:

It was widely known that Facebook bought Instagram for $1 billion, but the stock-to-cash breakdown wasn’t known until Monday.

Facebook says it bought Instagram for $300 million in cash and 23 million shares of common stock.

If the U.S. government blocks its acquisition of Instagram, Facebook says it has agreed to pay Instagram a termination fee of $200 million.

These number really show the reach that facebook has with its audience. Once you tap into this type of potential growth your company can instantly get the social traffic it is looking for.
